You are here: Home > FAQs > Herbal Treatment for a 'Bleeder' DO YOU HAVE A HERBAL TREATMENT/PROGRAM FOR A `BLEEDER`? I do rehabilitate bleeders pretty regularly, but depending on the elasticity of the scar tissue which forms after each bleed there can be ongoing problems. This is because the edge of the scar, which is inflexible, and the normal lung tissue which is flexible, set up some of weakness, which can tear again. My bleeder mix works both to strengthen the walls of the alveoli in the lungs but also to soften the scar tissue and it is worth a try. This mix can be found at the following link: http://www.herbal-treatments.com/horse_bleeder_treatment.html My partner and I also own and run a Holistic/Rehabilitation Equine Centre, Kellosheil Park at Bathurst. You can view this at: http://herbal-treatments.com.au/holistic_equine_rehabilitation.html We could keep your horse with us for six or eight weeks, treating her with bleeder treatments and building up fitness. At least this way you will know the horse has been given her correct medications and the exercise work which has been introduced has been appropriate to support the healing rather than just the standard trainers idea of what is appropriate. The bleeder mix costs $214 for six weeks treatment either for you to give to the horse while spelling, or for us to give to the horse while in rehabilitation and fitness build-up. Our medical agistment fee is $35/day and we would program a build-up of exercises in hand primarily, in the round yard and working on conformation, muscular build-up and lung development at a cost of $35/hr. Say initially 3 hours per week split between 6 sessions. As part of our rehabilitation programs we provide written reports detailing what we are doing and what we are noticing and I monitor the whole healing program personally. I look forward to helping both you and your horse onto the road of recovery. Disclaimer | Privacy Policy | Contact Us | SiteMap © 2000-2007 Robert McDowell's Herbal Treatments. All Rights Reserved. |
