Herbs for Fear Induced Cramps & Spasms – Asthma, Bronchitis, Abdominal Cramps

Letter to Ed describing my very crazy but true story about how I almost died from fear induced asthma when I was fifteen – I went from healthy to dying in 3 weeks. My experience with fear in childbirth and the greatest line up of herbs ever to relieve lung, uterine and abdominal cramps + two breathtakingly beautiful tropical herbs.

Ed, first of all I have to confess I’m writing this to you just to show off the pictures I took of a particular herb taking over the hillside. I feel like my home team is winning when herbs spread over other vegetation. It isn’t that I don’t like other vegetation, but when a particular herbs spreads virulently, it MEANS something, it’s a message from nature for the times. The plant is being energized by the earth to grow and spread because there is need for it. Continue reading

Herbs to relax Heart Muscle Tension and release PTSD patterns

When we go through traumatic episodes one too many times, we learn to hold some parts of us tight, sometimes so tight that those parts of us, let’s say an area of the heart muscle for example, that the place becomes hard, taut, and even develops scar tissue or adhesions over the years.

These are notoriously hard to discover by xray or other methods because they aren’t so easy to see. But they are felt indeed and can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. Continue reading

5 Herbs to Release Gut Tension & Help Your Body Process Medicines

A while ago a man told me of how he had a problem with his eyes for four decades resulting in progressive loss of vision, headaches – sometimes so bad he almost went blind with the pain. The doctors had suspected a tumor in the brain but found nothing.

This person took my advice on herbs to rehabilitate the digestive system as his body swung between chronic constipation and bouts of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and diarrhea.

It turned out that the first effect of the herbs was a massive reduction in the tension around his eyes and the headaches. He went from about four episodes of headaches and blinding a day to two in a month and then to one every week in four months. Continue reading

Heal your Eyes, Heal your Life – Holistic Rehabilitation of Eyes & Eyesight

I write this article from personal experience. When I was 13, I developed shortsightedness or myopia almost overnight. I had terrible headaches reading, and after many weeks of suffering, was finally prescribed glasses that made me able to read without a headache again.

At first I found wearing glasses pretty cool. For once in my life I looked like a ‘good’ girl by convent school standards. Spectacles meant you were the studying type. My glasses were photo-sensitive which meant they turned dark when I was out in the sun. That made me very cool riding on my bicycle (or so I thought, till an old teacher told me only criminals and film stars wore dark glasses and I better come back to reality). Continue reading

Me versus Me – Herbs for Autoimmune and Histamine Disorders

When I was at university, I used to cut across the golf course instead of taking the long way around the drive. One day on my way to an exam as I was running across the golf course around noon, I ran into a whole lot of flies, just flies. My face began to itch like crazy. When I reached the building where the exam was, I rushed to the bathroom and discovered to my horror that my face and neck were covered in huge red welts and swollen up – I was unrecognizable. I did the exam anyhow, but it took several hours for the welts and swelling to subside and I never ran across a golf course in the heat of day ever again. Continue reading
