An herb so old in the consciousness is Vervain or Verbena Officinalis.

I almost got drunk on Vervain on a very hard day in my life when I poured way too much of the alcohol extract of it into my water bottle. You know my old bad habit of putting in more of something if I feel I need it more. I held my nerve alright, all day, but I did feel quite drunk a lot 😉 . Continue reading

The 4 bottles are one each for:

General Emergencies
Shock & Nervous Support
Wound First Aid
Pain Killer

My Granddad would’ve laughed at these. A bottle of Scottish whisky is what the great solver of everyone’s problems went about with. My other Granddad who was a doctor in the Army, swore by Irish Guiness which he even used to help women in labor.

But me being such a good girl and upstanding citizen, I carry around four little bottles of herbs. They’ve met all our emergency needs for years. Continue reading
