Shock Lung – How to Rehabilitate the Lungs from Shock and Trauma

Rehabilitating the Lungs from Shock and Trauma
Back in the days when soldiers were exposed on the war field to sudden strong vibrational assault from bombs and the like, they would often lose consciousness. The standard procedure was to resuscitate them, get the heart going and then do other things like clean and stitch up wounds and so on. As the soldier recovered however it was noticed that at at time when it looked he was on the mend, his lungs started giving trouble. Breathing became restricted and made it close to impossible for the healing processes that had to continue for them to recover fully from other wounds.

This backsliding of the lungs into trauma was called ‘Shock Lung’ and the medical establishment, unwilling to accept that nervous shock could cause such a powerful physical threat to life long after the moment, it became classified as ‘Acute Pulmonary Distress’ and other such terms and treated as an independently existing condition.

In reality, it has been known to traditional healers that one of the symptoms of shock or trauma is the clenching or cramping up of the lungs. Asthma, bronchitis, fluid in the lungs and lung cavity, skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, all are the result of unresolved lung trauma.

There isn’t really anything drastic and sudden than can be done to get the lungs to get back to normal breathing. Full recovery is possible however with gentle consistent re-training to breathe normally and rehabilitating and regenerating the nerves around the lungs and heart.

How to help the Heart find it’s own rhythm for holistic healing

How can a heart find its own rhythm again? The HEART is the motor that keeps the blood moving around our bodies. In doing so, it makes the work of every other organ possible.

Blood brings in raw material to the organs and moves out the result of the work of every organ. Blood supplies the hormones that trigger off everything the organs do. What keeps the blood moving is the heart.

When the heart is weak or unstable the blood doesn’t move around properly eventually resulting in all kinds of complications.

Most serious or chronic physical problems are heart problems that haven’t been diagnosed yet.

This is why I include some sort of heart support in just about every treatment I make. Over the years I have found people and animals responding better to other herbs and natural treatments when their heart has been supported through the treatment.

But there is only so far herbs can take you when it comes to the heart. At some point, our little motor needs to find it’s own rhythm and source of life energy or all we have a motor that’s being coaxed into working and that can get tiring.

How can we help the heart find it’s own rhythm?

Treating and Managing Trauma in Dogs

Understanding your dog’s own particular reasons for trauma and trauma induced behavior is very important if you really want to treat it successfully. Here are the different types of trauma I’ve encountered in dogs over the years. It is unlikely your dog demonstrates only one of them, such is life, but you’ll still be able to understand your dog better and choose more effective methods than the blind buck-shot approach.

Types of trauma in dogs and tips for healing from them

1) Sensitivity Trauma
2) Trust-Abuse Trauma
3) Deprivation Abuse Trauma
4) Social Trauma
5) Generational Trauma
6) Location and Travel trauma
7) The trauma of living with heartless ‘owners’.
8) Event Based Trauma

1) Sensitivity Trauma

Some dogs are more sensitive than others. These dogs can’t stand fireworks, and find the noisy of busy highways jarring on their nerves. Genetically predisposed to quieter places than bustling cities, and activities that develop their fine senses, noise is a daily challenge for them even though they might not show it.

For these dogs, a treatment protocol that is divided into two is a good idea. One for every day support and rehabilitation of their over-strained brain (dealing with all those loud sensory information) and one for emergency use at very stressful times.

2) Trust-Abuse Trauma

Natural Electrolyte Solution – First Aid for a Weak or Dehydrated Person, Cat, Dog, or Horse

Natural Electrolyte Solution - First Aid for a weak or dehydrated person, cat, dog, or horseThis quick and easy home made electrolyte solution will provide basic support for a dehydrated and weak person or pet. If you do not have raw honey or sea salt or rock salt, sugar and table salt will do. However, as far as possible, sticking with organic raw ingredients is recommended.

To 1 quart or 1 litre of pure water, add

  • 1 tablespoon of raw unfiltered organic honey
  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt or rock saltOptional add ons to make it even more powerful
  • 10ml of Colloidal Silver water
  • Bach Flower Rescue Remedy – 10 drops
  • Half a cup of cooled Rosehips Tea

Shake well in a bottle and store in the fridge. Bring it to room temperature before giving it to your cat.

Give once every two-three hours if the cat or dog isn’t able to drink water on their own. Use a plastic syringe or squirt bottle.

Kittens and puppies: 3 tablespoons
Small and tiny breeds of dogs: 10ml to a quarter of a cup
Medium and Large breeds of dogs: 25ml to half a cup
Horses: A cup every few hours

This solution will start to go off if left in water bowls for more than about 30 minutes.

Coconut water is a natural electrolyte drink. If you can get it, without added preservatives it will work at the same dosage mentioned above.

Why herbal treatments are an effective alternative medicine for cancer

  • Herbs are powerful natural support for recovery from the shock, strain and fatigue a person with a cancer diagnosis generally has to face.
  • Herbal treatments will not burden your body, make you tired and drained or cause side-effects. You won’t need treatments to recover from the good things herbs do for you.
  • If the cancer is caused by or aggravated by an acute lack of mineral nutrition, herbs are natural concentrations of those minerals, and herbal extracts are even higher concentrates that can in a few drops deliver what it would’ve taken weeks and months to assimilate and absorb through the digestive system otherwise.
  • If the cancer is caused or being aggravated by exposure to toxins, poisons and the overwhelming burden of processing chemicals through the body, herbs have the ability to energize the body to support it in processing and throwing out the toxins. Herbal extracts will also support weak and failing organs in return to normal function. Herbs have been used for these purposes since mankind was born and have evolved along with us the physical intelligence to deal with poisons.
  • If the cancer is spreading, herbal extracts, by energizing the whole body, can support the whole body in resisting the cancer.
  • Cancer is very often the result of long term trauma, blocked emotion and stress habits taking a toll on the body. Herbs being living beings themselves have natural intelligence in the form of hormones and subtle energies that are very like our own and which can stimulate the mental and emotional healing mechanisms we have in us.We have found that for recovery from cancer and staying cancer free, learning to change the way we react to stressful situations is very very VERY important.

Herbal Pain Killers – Legal, Harmless and Healing Alternatives to Prescription Drugs

Herbal Pain Killers - Legal, Harmless and Healing Alternatives to Prescription DrugsPain isn’t an illness in itself. Designed with a great super-intelligence, pain is the body’s signal to tell us something’s not going right inside us, and we need to do something about it.

Instead of addressing the cause of pain, modern attitudes toward the body have had us supressing it, essentially telling our body and nervous system to shut up and go stand in the cupboard while we get on with whatever is more important to us than our own living.

Instead of reacting to pain by working towards healing, we have been taught to react to pain by stretching for our wallets and taking a trip to the chemist.

Pharmaceutical drugs for pain are not natural, our bodies do not recognize them as part of our habitat and therefore, even though they might have their temporary effect of numbing out nerves, the body resists them and goes into war-mode. The end result of regular use of prescription drugs therefore is a body that is feeling violated, swinging between over-stimulated and tired out, and not able to manage it’s daily affairs properly. So we have a whole slew of conditions from lessened immunity to sluggish digestion and every thing in-between.

Skullcap - Herbal Pain Killer and Nervine
Skullcap – Herbal Pain Killer and Nervine

Herbs are a wonderful way out of the prescription drug mess. They’re our natural healers, we were born together into this eco-system. We’ve got generational knowledge (despite all the attempts to break our racial memory of natural healing), and for the most part we’ve got a good sound working base of information we can use to go natural again.

The best bit is that while relieving pain, herbs heal and repair as well. Take Skullcap (Scutellaria Baicalensis – and I thought my name was hard to pronounce!) for example. It relieves pain in the head and nerves amazingly. I’ve tried it so I can say this without a doubt. But it also has the minerals and nutrients to speed up healing in the brain and nervous system, so while you’re lying down feeling a lot better about life in general, it’s providing the body the specific nutrition it needs to trigger nerve healing.

Now, a good number of the grand old herbal pain killers have been classified as dangerous or illegal in most countries. So for now, we’ll have to speak about and use the legal herbs, which may not give us a glimpse of heaven in other realms, but will help this one feel a whole lot better.

An effective holistic approach to relieving pain is: (Go to full Article)

Prevent & Treat Dog Flu – H3N2 Naturally

The unfortunate news is that a ‘deadly’ strain of dog flu has been noticed spreading its tentacles into the canine community in Florida.

The good news is there’s no cause to lose sleep over it.

Just like any of the million viruses out that that “could” be fatal, the dog flu virus – lovingly named H3N2 by the scientists who make their bread and butter off of stalking it, can be dealt with by a healthy canine immune system.

If your dog however, has not been out walking, playing and soaking up the sun, or is getting on in years, or is pregnant, or is a young one not yet established in our world of deadly viruses, a little timely immune support is in order – especially if you live in and around Florida.

Here are the little things you can do to keep your dog propped up:
